Greetings,

A little while ago a bird I believe was a Eurasian Collared Dove paid a visit to my yard and feeders in Bridgman. I just returned from southern Alabama where the species is common and I'm pretty certain it was not a Ringed Turtle-Dove. I managed a few photos before it flew off and landed on a neighbor's house and then left the area. If it returns tomorrow, I will post an update. I live at 3823 Michigan Avenue. Michigan is off of Gast Road, just to the north of Lake Street in Bridgman. (To the east of town, Lake Street becomes Shawnee Road.)

Other "yard" birds here today included a male Orchard Oriole and one or more Lincoln's Sparrows.

A little to the north, in the northwest corner of Gast and Lemon Creek Roads a few Sedge Wrens have been present and singing for the last couple of days.

Good birding,

Kip Miller
