I and five other birders observed a Worm-eating warbler near the Bay City
State Park at 1:30 to 2:00 today (May 1st). The bird was seen on the road into
the Tobico Marsh parking area, west of the Jenison Nature Center, approximately
100 feet in from the Killarney Beach Road, which is off the north end of
Euclid Road in Bangor Township, north of Bay City. The bird was observed for
approximately a half hour and we left with the bird still there. It also sang while
we observed it. We also had over 20 Yellow-headed Blackbird at Nayanquaing
Point; these birds are best observed by entering in off of the end of Prevo Road
and walking the dike (we also had 5 Common Moorhens at this location).
