Bohemian Waxwing, Emmet County, 12/26/04

Dear Mich-listers,
Today (Dec. 26) around 4 p.m. I watched a flock of cedar waxwings in the mountain ash trees just east of the Birchwood Farms clubhouse, 4 miles northwest of Harbor Springs (Emmet County) off M-119 .  Among the flock of about 2 dozen birds, I identified at least one adult Bohemian Waxwing.  There may have been more.  Nice way to end a cross-country ski outing in our winter wonderland (2 feet of snow on the ground)!   Sally Stebbins, Harbor Springs
