[Mich-chat] Common Redpolls - Muskegon County

We also had a single Common Redpoll at the feeders with the many Siskins 
this past weekend (NW Osceola Co.) and a friend a few miles north in 
southern Wexford Co. had two about a week previously (he also had two 
Evening Grosbeaks, probably our Manistee Forest residents).  My experience 
here is either swarms of redpolls or none; I don't ever recall a single 
bird showing up.  I also don't recall any other LP redpoll reports this

   Mich-chatters, 
 This morning my wife saw one and our backyard neighbor saw two Common 
Redpolls on our backyard feeders here in Fruitport Township, Muskegon 
County.  I was out shoveling at the time and so far have not seen these 
excellent "Year Birds" (not to mention "Yard Birds").   :-(   Back in the 
70's we had a redpoll hit one of our back windows; that was the only 
previous redpoll sighting for our yard.
