[Mich-chat] Good day at Metro Beach

Birders,

This morning during surveys of just about the entire park, including along Venetian Road, I found 73 species at Metro Beach Metropark, Macomb Co. A few new arrivals were noted, locally, including Bonaparte's Gull, Forster's Tern, Great Egret, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Purple Martin, N. Rough-winged Swallow, Barn Swallow, and Chipping Sparrow. I heard about a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher being seen in the park today but I didn't see it myself. Increased numbers of recent arrivals were also noted, including Ruddy Duck, Eastern Phoebe, Tree Swallow, Brown Creeper, Hermit Thrush, Yellow-rumped Warbler, and Fox Sparrow.
