Our several Mulberry trees on our property are now laden with ripe berrys! Above average year! Many Robins, Cedar Waxwings, Starlings, Blue Jays partaking. A few Baltimore Orioles, Rose Breasted Grosbeaks, and Eastern Kingbirds dropping by.
Gone are the days of 20 -25 years ago when species besides those listed above such as Catbirds, Scarlet Tanagers, Wood Thrush, even Veerys, Great Crested Flycatchers etc. were regular visitors. The old mature woods at the back of our property that goes back 2 miles is still undisturbed and has actually improved but alas many species are just not present there anymore.
