Jill Henemyer and I observed a variety of shorebirds species, several in
good numbers, at the Muskegon Wastewater Sunday afternoon.

The avocets, semipalmated plovers, Wilson's phalarope, and pectorals were in
the large drawn-down cell near the east end of the line of aerator cells
adjacent to the West Lagoon. Six species alone were present in the small
puddle that passes for habitat in the westernmost drawn-down cell -- stilt,
solitary, least, and spotted sandpiper, lesser yellowlegs and killdeer.
