Help in IDSenda,

An ibis comes to mind, but of course it would help to see the photos. Can you send them to me? I might be able to post them somewhere temporarily.

Every day, the hummingbird eats its own weight in food.
You may wonder how it weighs the food.
It doesn't. It just eats another hummingbird.

  Subject: Help in ID

Yesterday around 4pm I was in what I believe is Allegan County, not far from Saugatuck/Douglas, on the corner of 128th Ave and 62nd, st, scanning the SE field for whatever might be there when my specs ran across 2 large birds with extremely, and I do mean extremely, long down curved bills. I have seen a whimbrel before in Florida but it looked like the bill was even longer than that. I have a picture, not very clear, but it does show how long the bill was, the size of the bird, and its gooselike neck. It does not, however, show any markings. The bill was joined with the head, not stuck on like a toothpick. It was walking, although not rapidly, around the water area probing, but not deeply, into the mud. I don't have any place to post this picture to help secure a positive identification. Any suggestions?
