Tawas Pt Birding Festival birds, 17 May

The Tawas Pt Birding Festival is in full swing currently, with daily tours to the point and several other Iosco Co locations.  There have been 142+ species reported so far, with 24 species of warblers, including a singing male Kirtland's today, 17 May, in the dense patch of habitat immediately north of the lighthouse. during the late morning hour.  No rarities have yet been reported, and I'll try to make sure word of any rarities found tomorrow gets out quickly.
