Chatters -
Shorebirds in Eaton County can be sparse, so it is worth noting:
There are shorebirds in a shallow pond about 1/2 mile west of Royston on
Davis. North hand side. This pond will be going soon without more rain.
Killdeer, Lesser Yellowlegs - 1, Dunlin - 1, peeps - 39, at least 2 were
Semipalmated and most of the remainder were Least.
There are shorebirds on the east side of Nixon south of Billwood just north
of the railroad crossing. This pond will last longer than the other. These are
closer than the other pond and easier to see, especially in the evening.
Killdeer, Spotted, Solitary - 3, Semipalmated - 2, Least - 5.
Bird on!
