Upland Sandpipers, Kalkaska county

Had 12 or more Upland Sandpipers in one horse pasture, Rapid River Twp. Kalkaska county on Thursday the 3rd.
Likely a couple of family units, nevertheless a decent find!  This is the same area we often/usually see Brewers Blackbirds, Horned Larks, Eastern Kingbirds, Grasshopper Sparrows, Vesper Sparrows, Eastern AND Western Meadowlarks but none of those that day. Some developement starting in the neighborhood!--sigh!
