Barred Owl...

Had a close encounter with a Barred Owl yesterday morning as my wife and I drove to church in Portland.  I spotted the bird in an oak overhanging David Highway almost halfway between Kelsey Hwy and Divine Hwy south of Ionia.  We missed him on our return pass, but spotted him on a lower snag almost at eye-level on the third pass and I managed to get 9 shots of him before he flew off.

Also posted are some shots I took in Orlando, FL over the holidays, including another close encounter with a pair of Barred Owls.
 
The eagles on Kimball Rd, just a quarter mile west of Divine Hwy continue to congregate.  I had a count of 36 last week.
