birded Manistee Twp. this morning including Orchard Beach State Park, Lake Bluff Audubon Center and the Bar Lake Rd area.

There is only a little shore-bound ice about 50 meters out. Had 800+ Long-tailed Ducks, 1500 Goldeneyes, Several Greater Scaup, Bufflehead, Red-breasted Mergansers and a lone White-winged Scoter from the park.

At Lake Bluff several Robins and Bohemian Waxwings were hitting the Multiflora Rose and Viburnums. The strangest sight of the day was a group of three Flickers flying south.

On Bar Lake Rd. there was a Northern Shrike about 1/2 mile south of Bentowski Rd. and a few Pine Grosbeaks near the corner of Schoedel and Bar Lake Rd.
