Sorry for the late post, just returned from our Kalkaska MI place where I could not access this site direct.
Dec. 30th Antrim Old Mission CBC in the area we did for the count we came across an astounding huge flock of
BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS of 300+ at one location! I glassed the flock carefully before they all flew off. Not a Cedar in them. (We did find Cedars at another location) Notables also in our count area north of Bellaire in Antrim county, ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK dark phase, The White underwings were stunning!, 2 adult Red-Tail Hawks nearby.
NORTHERN SHRIKE in the Antrim County Airport property.
Right in Bellaire were many Ducks, Mergansers, Swans, Gulls & Canada Geese in the open backwaters of the Cedar River. Among the many Wild Turkeys several were right in town at feeders just as last year!
A picture of some of the BOHEMIANS I posted on www.northbirding.com "Sightings" forum
The BOHEMIANS were located on Orchard Hill Road about 2 miles north of town in a huge pine plantation.
