Laura's Clubtail

Doug& Karl,  Another good Odonata find. Back when I was looking 
around the state I found Laura's (S. laurae) in Swan Creek west of 
Allegan and on the Little Muskegon near Big Rapids with Steve Ross. 
By the range maps and previous records I was expecting to find S. 
amnicola but never did and wonder if there has been some past 
confusion on the 2 species.  You might also find S. spiniceps in the 
same habitat as Laura's, as Steve has on the L. Muskegon.  Another 
one on bigger rivers for you to look for this time of year is S. 
notatus (I have never seen it perch only patrol low over the water), 
which I have seen in the Bestie and the Manistee Rivers up here.
