We are into the second tier of migrants here with Yellow-rumped Warblers, Fox Sparrow, Flickers, Brown Creepers, Tree Swallow, and several flocks of Rusty Blackbirds all arriving in the last two days.

I heard a Brown Creeper doing it's high pitched etherial and ventriloquistic call the other day and tried to track it down. I have never seen one singing and they always seem too busy creeping up tree trucks to pause to sing. This one seemed to be holding in an area of dense hemlock and cedar and I tried to find it for 15-20 minutes w/o a clear view as it continued to sing from its' perch or cling. Just wondered if anyone has seen one in a singing posture.
