Great Cormorant Muskegon Co. 9/12/07

Today I saw a possible Great Cormorant at the Muskegon waste water system.  It was in the east pond, north west corner on the long cement pipe that juts out into the pond from shore.  The head ,nape, neck, breast where a dusty light brown.  The bill was also of about the same color, maybe a greyer.  The only yellow on the bill was on lowe mandable just under the chin.  The lower belly area was white.  Also present in the wester most agitator cell was a very light mallard,(leucism perhaps.)  On the north shore also was a red necked grebe.
