Just completed the second Lake Michigan Lakeshore count this am.
Started out with a bang as right when another audubon club member joined me at 8:30 a light morph juv. Parasitic Jaeger flew directly over our heads at the end of the pier then attacked some gulls near the beach before flying south. Also had a three species scoter day with 11 White-winged, 11 Surf and 10 Black Scoters most very close to the pier. Farther out in the lake had two small flocks of Long-tailed Ducks totalling 52.
Other than that it turned out to be a very quiet morning.
