Birders,
I have been "in the field" almost continuously for the past two weeks, and boy have the hummingbird reports come in!
You can view the updated map (and a link to a table with all the data) at: http://www.amazilia.net/MIHummerNet/Data2007.htm.
To date, there have been 47 April reports (slightly below average) with an amazing 7 reports from the Upper Peninsula.
Between May 1-5 there were 93 reports.
Between May 6-10 there were 166 reports.
Between May 11-15 there were 29 reports.
I still do not have any arrival reports this year from Baraga, Menominee, Alpena, Kalkaska, Oscoda, Lake, Newaygo, and Shiawassee counties.If you have hummingbird arrival reports from any of these counties, please let me know. I need the date, location, and sex of the first male, and if you have separate data for your first female, I track that as well.
Thanks to everyone who submitted reports to me.

===============================================
Every day, the hummingbird eats its own weight in food.
You may wonder how it weighs the food. It doesn't.
It just eats another hummingbird.
