Metro Beach and DNR Access

Today, Tuesday, the Snowy Owl was still there around 1
p.m. on the ice off the south end of the beach area.
The Snow Bunting flock was still there also, about 1/3
of the way out to the tip of Huron Point.

At the DNR access place my conservative estimate of
the duck numbers today is 10,000+. The open water is
prety far offshore, and due to being wind
chill-challenged I didn't get out and set up the
telescope. It looked like the vast majority were
scaup, and Canvasbacks were obvious. No doubt there
were other species present.
