Great Backyard Bird Count this weekend

This weekend (Friday-Monday) is the 2007 Great Backyard Bird Count. Last
year Michigan birders submitted 2081 checklists (down from the record
2734 checklists submitted in 2000) and reported a record 124 species.
Can these records be broken?  It would be great to see 2800 checklists
and 125 species from Michigan this year. 

 

So head out to your favorite winter birding spot, just count the birds
in your yard (or better yet, do both!), and submit your bird sightings
from each location each day to www.birdsource.org/gbbc.
