Dear Birders,
Thanks to everyone that gave advice for my recent trip to Ludington,
Michigan.
I was only able to see one of my target species (Red-breasted Merganser),
but did get to see my first American Tree Sparrows and Rough-legged Hawks in
the Fountain/Freesoil area of Mason County. I saw one light-phase juvenile
and one dark-phase adult. I also had a splendid view of a Bald Eagle at the
Ludington boat launch.
I plan to visit again this summer, but I will post my questions in a
separate e-mail.
Good Birding,
Christopher Colby
