Subject: [birders] Common Redpolls, St. Clair county
Had about 8 Common Redpolls today at our feeders, first time in several years! Also a Brown Creeper which with Red-breasted Nuthatches are still hanging around! Our Pine Siskins disappeared a couple of weeks ago along with the Purple Finches. We've had up to 20 B.H.Cowbirds now hanging around our feeders and a Coopers Hawk making almost daily raids through here! One of our winter resident Eastern Screech Owls is back roosting in one of our Wood Duck boxes! Really neat to see it stick its head out the box during the day and watch all the feeder birds!
Had a Robin pass through a couple of days ago. Lots of Juncos, but only a few Tree Sparrows so far.
