Neil Gilbert

Many of you had the pleasure of birding with Neil Gilbert, who recently
has relocated to Orange County, Califormia. I have just corresponded
with him, and he passes on good wishes (and good birds) to all of his
friends in Michigan. He calls the birding in CA "amazing," with "lots of
lifers." He says he is still getting used to having four different
hummingbird species at his feeders. Although his family is still
unpacking, he still finds time for birding (of course.) For those of you
who wish to keep abreast of his birding and in touch with him, he has
set up a blog on the Web. And, of course, it is a fine one. Here is the
