Peregrine Falcon, Ingham Co. - Sunday, August 19

Mich-chatters,

My wife and I were quite surprised at about 11:00 this morning to see a Peregrine Falcon while driving south of the MSU Experimental Agriculture area along Okemos Rd (between Holt & Lamb Roads?) to see a Peregrine Falcon. It crossed the road just ahead of us, heading east while being harrassed by an American Kestrel and it then disturbed several dozen Crows when it reached a distant woodlot.

I only managed a distant view with binoculars so I couldn't tell if it was an adult or not. Are Peregrines breeding in downtown Lansing? It was odd to encounter one in mid-August in southern Michigan farmlands.
