While out on an early morning walk yesterday, I heard my first White-throated Sparrows singing.  Got back to the house to hear my wife excitedly tell me she and my 3-yr old son saw a White-crowned Sparrow at the feeders.  She was so excited that she had identified the bird all by herself.  While I didn't totally disbelieve her nor did I challenge her (afterall, it very much could have been), I wasn't quite fully convinced she hadn't seen what I had heard (White-throated Sparrow).   But later in the afternoon, we both saw the White-crowned Sparrow at the feeder.  It warms my heart to see my wife get excited about birds...
 
On my walk, I also had my first Brown Thrashers of the season (two of them) and my first House Wren of the season (working on its nest hole in a snag too!!)
 
Spring is definitely Springing!
