Have now had Field Sparrows, Chipping Sparrows, Flickers at our feeders. Many Juncos & Tree Sparrows remain. Thursdays storm found myriads and scads of all usual species clamoring for whatever they could find at our feeders! 18 Robins in the front yard, several at the feeders. Numbers have now tapered off. Still have 3 or 4 Wilson Snipe being seen or heard overhead on our property. 2 Sandhill Cranes flew right over our house Easter Sunday! Son-in-law reports about 20 Sandhills at 32mile Rd. & North Ave., Macomb county.

A trip to Marine City yesterday, we stopped at the little mini East China Twp. park along the St. Clair River just north of Marine City.:----
12 Common Mergansers, 8 Bonapartes Gulls, several Ring Billed, Canada Geese, Mallards, 2 Mute Swans, and first of the season for us about 10 Tree Swallows skimming across the river back & forth between Canada & the USA! (they didn't have passports!)Also at the park, Cardinal, White Breasted Nuthatch, Song Sparrow, Mourning Doves, Robins, and several House Sparrows :( No Terns as yet.
Also first of the season seen ! ---- The Thousand footers are back! 2 went by as we were there being followed by Gulls of undetermined species. 1 up & 1 down bound!

Following along the Belle River upstream on the way home hoping to find Wood Ducks (not!) we came upon several Golden Crowned Kinglets, (missed a great photo shot), Red-Tailed Hawks, several Turkey Vultures, a Kestrel, several Killdeer, several Crows, more Robins, Cardinals, Mourning Doves, Red-Wing Blackbirds, BH Cowbirds, Grackles, & Song Sparrows.

Someone had a beautiful male Peacock in their front yard! :-)

Checked all the usual dependable bridges in the area for Phoebes. Climbed down under a couple. Nothing! Have yet to see a Phoebe, Meadowlark, or Towhee yet this season! But they usually don't arrive here until about now and we don't see many here anyhow like in the past.
