Birders and friends,
Please join us for the free program below.
Membership is not required.

Wednesday, May 17, 2006 - 7:30 pm: "Hummingbirds and
Great Lakes HummerNet"

Are Ruby-throated Hummingbirds the only hummers you
can expect to see in Michigan? How can you help to
answer this question? Join Allen Chartier, hummingbird
expert and founder of Great Lakes HummerNet, a project
that uses input from backyard birders and other
volunteer birders to increase our knowledge of
hummingbirds in the Great Lakes region. Allen is the
co-author of "A Birder's Guide to Michigan," and
"Birds of Detroit," and has travelled the world in
search of birds.

Free and open to the public. Call 677-3275 for more
information about the program.
U-M Matthaei Botanical Gardens, 1800 N. Dixboro Rd.,
Ann Arbor.

In addition to the program, hear the latest news of
the migration, learn about upcoming free field trips,
and enjoy tasty treats in the company of congenial
nature lovers.

Hope to see you Wednesday.
