iPod birding

just wondered if anyone is using a MP3 or iPod with ext. speakers for birding in the state.  I read the Birding article with interest and would like to get started before my next field trip.

Looks like the Creative Zen is best for downloading files from CD's and websites as opposed to the iPod that is restricted to their audio files.
