MBRC website update

Birders-

The Michigan Bird Records Committee has implemented a new feature on its
website- a searchable database of accepted records of Review List species.
Correspondingly, we have removed the actions tables feature, since all
actions table records are or will be accessible elsewhere (accepted records
in the searchable database, rejected records in the annual reports).

http://www.michiganaudubon.org/mbrc/search.html

You may search by species or county by typing all or part of a species or
county name. For example, typing in "gull" will pull up all records of all
7 review list gulls, and Gull-billed Tern. "Mew Gull" will give all five
Mew Gull records. "Monroe" will pull up all Monroe County records of review
list species. You may also type in "sp." for records which were assigned to
a species group but not a specific species, such as Frigatebird sp. or
Gannet/Booby sp.

There are still a few kinks with the system that may be updated over the
next few weeks (e.g. Loggerhead Shrike is still missing, & county searches
come up in alphabetical instead of taxonomic order) but it is functional
enough to give you an idea of patterns of occurence for nearly all review
species. We hope you like it.

Cheers,
