Manistee area birds

Finally got some courage up to venture out after an almost too good Panama trip.  The wrath of the Artic has abated somewhat.

Manistee Twp. Manistee Co.:  Several Pine Grosbeaks on Bar Lake Rd. and a Raven nest building.  All about first spring songs from chickadees, cardinals, drumming woodpeckers etc.

Orchard Beach State Park Manistee:  very few Long-tailed Ducks, only about 30-40 seen in a couple of flocks, about 150 Common Goldeneyes, a few Red-breasted Mergansers.

Manistee River Channel:  A few Redheads (sign of spring) in with the Goldeneyes. 

No antwarms or canopy flocks seen yet.
