We have 3 senior dogs in need of rescue or adoption.Bolly's
owners moved into a nicer, larger apartment. The only problem is
the new apartment building did not allow pets. So Bolly was moved
to a new location...the Perth Amboy Shelter.

He is 9 years old, neutered, housetrained and very friendly. He weighs about
50 pounds
and is brown black and beige Shep mix. He has some obedience
training and is very well behaved. He needs to be rescued or
adopted ASAP. He has been at the shelter for over a month and we
are running out of room. He is going to be euthanized so we have an
open run available.

Samantha is a Corgi and shep mix. She is very obedient. Knows some basic
commands, house trained, up to date with shots and spayed. She is great with other
dogs and has been raised with children. We were told she is about 8 years
old. Samantha still plays like a puppy. She loves to entertain herself and any
available audience playing with her stuffed toys. When she gets very silly she
will chase her tail. Samantha is a wonderful dog.
Her owners gave her up because the mother in law moved in and did not like
having to deal with the fur around the house. She felt Samantha shed too much
and the fur would give her an allergic reaction. She can be euthanized at any
time because she is a owner
turn in.

Cosmo has one of the saddest stories of all the dogs. He was the center of
everyone's attention for 7 years. He was treated like a beloved family member
until the new baby came. Once the baby started to crawl Cosmo was left in a
crate. He was not given a proper adjustment period to the new arrival and was
expected to instantly love the new baby. The baby was allowed to grab, hit or pull
at Cosmos. Cosmos being a lab mix was expected to tolerate this. One day when
Cosmo was crated the baby started to poke at him and finally Cosmo nip her
giving her a small puncture to her hand. Cosmo was left at the shelter the
following day. He is a sweetheart of a dog. He loves to be petted. He knows some
basic commands. He is house trained neutered and up to date with shots. Because
he is
a owner turn in and nipped a child he will be euthanized before the week is
up.
