Subject: [shac-uk] Action Alert: Japanese Customers Head Offices
Again and again company executives think they are not involved in animal torture. They think that leaving decisions to juniors or passing the buck onto companies such as Huntingdon Life Sciences excuses them from being associated with the sickening barbarity going on inside the animal torture labs. But they are responsible no matter how much they weasel and deny the issues.
It is the men at the top who set policy for all their companies to follow; it is they who have the power to say no to animal abuse. In their hands lies the ultimate power and they can not be allowed to think that they can hold that power without being challenged to wield it responsibly.
Below are the main contact details of the Chairman and Chief Executive officers for the main Japanese customers. These are the men who sanction morally and financially their companies paying HLS millions to torture and abuse animals. It is the bosses of Asahi Glass who sanctioned slow and painful deaths on pointless chemicals for six week old beagles at HLS. For them it was just another business deal to attempt to sell another health damaging chemical.
For us it is unacceptable and barbaric and sickening. And they must be reminded that we will not forget their role in paying for it. That they live 5000 miles away from HLS is not relevant – they are still accountable. And it is time we hold them accountable!
Please, please make the effort to contact these people. Ring, phone, fax and email so they get the message that they cannot hide from the anger of the animal rights movement. Check out cheap alternatives to making telephone calls so you can put your point across to them directly and effectively. Don’t worry about the language barrier, simply say Huntingdon Life Sciences loud and clear to them. They are not going to be expecting it, so the impact of your communications will be greater than normal.
Many shop windows advertise cheap phone calls abroad, often without you having to sign up for an account, and which can be used from any BT line. Some times they can be even cheaper than UK local calls, so you have no excuses! Keep an eye out for these bargains, and let the bosses of HLS’s Japanese customers that distance is no object to us…
What ever you do, it is time we woke the bosses up to the fact that the animal rights movement will hold them accountable for their cruelty.
