June 29 (Bloomberg) -- Discovery of a second case of mad cow disease in
the U.S. may affect Japan's ban on imports of beef from that country,
said Yoshiyuki Kamei, minister of agriculture, forestry and fisheries.

Obtaining full information on the afflicted cow may take as long as
seven days, and Japan will continue to request the U.S. provide it with
full information on the case, Kamei said at a press conference after a
cabinet meeting in Tokyo.
