AR-News: (US FL) $1 million donated to wildlife hospital

The Treasure Coast Wildlife Hospital, which was evicted last year from its  
longtime home on Bridge Road in Hobe Sound, has received $1 million from an  
anonymous donor, the hospital announced Friday. 
"We've known for some time about this incredibly generous, anonymous donor  
and the donor's desire to support our work," said Dan Martinelli, the 
hospital's  executive director. "We knew it had been tendered, but you never count your 
 chickens before you have them in your Publix bag.  
"We also knew we needed to set up the foundation to accept the gift so it  
could be managed and invested properly." 
The money, however, is for endowment purposes only and cannot be used toward  
construction of a new hospital.
