It should be noted that Sonoma Foie Gras dropped its opposition to the
bill due to an agreement including language immunizing it from APRL's and
IDA's lawsuit seeking an injunction to stop the force feeding immediately.
This decision was made by the groups sponsoring the bill and not APRL or
IDA. This will give Sonoma Foie Gras eight more years to force feed, but
after that point sale of foie gras will be banned as well as its
production.
