NFL's Tee-Fetching Dog Dies

SPRING, Texas -- A dog who had a following among National Football League 
fans has died.

The 10-year-old Australian shepherd known as "Fetch Monster" died at her home 
in Spring after a battle with cancer.

The tee-retrieving dog was a popular performer at New Orleans Saints games in 
the late 1990s and earlier at Houston Oilers games at the Astrodome. 


Owners Mike and Melna Moriarity said the dog was diagnosed with cancer last 
month. She underwent chemotherapy and three blood transfusions in an effort to 
beat the disease.

She suffered a setback over the weekend and was put down on Monday.

The dog's real name was Bleu.
