Subject: California - Help Stop Animal Abuse!
Help Stop Animal Abuse! Support the Veterinary Reporting Act!
Senator Liz Figueroa has introduced SB 1548, a bill that would require any person licensed under the Veterinary Medicine Practice Act, when the person has reasonable cause to believe an animal under his or her care has been a victim of animal abuse or cruelty, to promptly report the animal abuse or cruelty to the appropriate law enforcement authority.
In addition, this bill would make it a misdemeanor for a person to crop the ears of a dog or to procure the cropping of a dog's ears!
This bill is presently before the Assembly Business and Professions Committee. Help Senator Figueroa in her efforts to stop animal cruelty by sending a letter to the committee members asking for their support. Click here to send a letter and TAKE ACTION NOW!
Sincerely,
Jill Buckley, Esq.
