Demonstration to mark ‘Molly’s Day’
Sat 19th June

Molly’s day is the anniversary of the death of Molly the Beagle. Born May
8th 1986 she was used as a breeding machine by Glaxo for five years, then
sold to London Hospital Medical College.

Soon after she was sold she became ill and was either used for acute work
(quick and immediate experimentation) or put down straight away.

Nobody knows what her fate was which occurs around June 18th. She was later
found by an undercover investigator wrapped in plastic bags in a freezer,
coiled around with her guts and intestines hanging out of her stomach.
This is how laboratory animals are treated.

At: Glaxo Smith Kline, Park Rd, Ware

Bring: Wreaths or flowers to lay at gate.

Animal experiments have:
a 63% failure rate when detecting human carcinogens
a 75-95% failure rate for detecting drug side effects
a 70% failure rate for detecting drugs which cause birth defects
Success rates lower than those achieved by uneducated guesswork.

This is not science!!
