THE RSPCA wants to prosecute two men who took part in a Brisbane pub
competition in which a live mouse was chewed up and spat out.

RSPCA chief inspector Byron Hall said today the event at the Exchange
Hotel in the Brisbane CBD in April was an outrageous act of animal
cruelty.

He said those involved in the so-called Jackass competition in which the
two men in their 20s were challenged to bite a mouse faced fines of up to
$75,000 and two years in prison.
