WOUNDED dogs are being dumped and left to die by barbaric underground 
dog-fighting rings in western Sydney.

The so-called sport takes place in abandoned factories and parks where big 
money is up for gangs – but dogs' lives are cheap. 
Sydney Dog Home manager Pat Hood sees the end result of the fights. 
"We get dogs with lots of severe injuries around the neck and jaws in 
particular," Ms Hood said. 
"That's where they go for to kill.
"The money is on the table to the end – and the one who hasn't performed to 
the expectations of the owner gets left to die. They have no use for them."
