ARMED FISHERMEN OCCUPY GALAPAGOS NATIONAL PARK

DARWIN RESEARCH STATION, Galapagos, Ecuador, June 4, 2004 (ENS) - The 
offices of Galapagos National Park on Santa Cruz Island and the offices of 
the national park on Isabella Island have been taken over by angry mobs of 
fishermen armed with clubs, lead pipes, and Molotov cocktails, Sea Shepherd 
founder Captain Paul Watson reports by email from the Galapagos Islands. 
Also taken were the island of Espanola and the tourist sites there, he says.

RIOTOUS FISHERMEN PREVAIL IN GALAPAGOS NATIONAL PARK

GALAPAGOS ISLANDS, Ecuador, June 7, 2004 (ENS) - The Sea Shepherd 
Conservation Society, Captain Paul Watson and his crew have been ordered out 
of the Galapagos Islands while angry fishermen have been permitted by the 
Ecuadorian President to occupy Galapagos National Park. Three hundred 
residents of Santa Cruz Friday marched to the gate of the Galapagos National 
Park where they were halted by a line of Ecuadorian Police and Marines. Read
