Four people arrested Sunday by state police for animal fighting in a cock
fighting outfit in Crum appeared Monday in Wayne County Magistrate Court
and posted bond.

The arrests came Sunday when the West Virginia State Police raided a
building on River Bend Road in Wayne County near Crum that contained what
some law enforcement officials said could be one of the largest cock
fighting operations ever found in Wayne County.

At the scene, 125 people were cited for drugs and animal fighting, and
four were arrested on charges of animal fighting. Kevin Scott Ferguson,
31, and Joe Ferguson, 52, both of Route 1, Box 253, in Dunlow, were
charged with animal fighting and also had warrants on a previous charge
for malicious wounding.
