Dear animal rights activists,

we are group of Swiss activists who fight against vivisection, and we 
are asking your help for a campaign which until now have been carried 
on by Italian activists. We think that now, in order to arrive to a 
positive end of this campaign, an international effort is necessary.

We are convinced that we are very near to cause the collapsing of 
RBM, an Italian vivisection laboratory (that have been founded more 
than 30 years ago) which every year kills thousands of animals: rats, 
hamsters, dogs, mice, gerbils, monkeys, rabbits...!

We are near because their only supprt is the multinational Serono, 
which have its headquarters here in Switzerland, but which have 
offices all over the world: if, a few years ago, Seron would have not 
financially helped RBM becoming its major stockholder, RBM would have 
gone bankrupt!

And Serono is not eager to bring the protests at home, instead of at 
RBM laboratories only! Thus, hitting it, we can convince it to 
abandon RBM! 

What are we asking you to do? To participate in a WEEK OF ACTIONS 
AGAINST SERONO (SHAC style!), from 31 May to 5 June, with protests 
via email, fax, e, MOST IMPORTANT, PHONE CALLS to the local offices. 
If there's a office near your town, a sit-in in front of it would be 
great!

Liebe Tierschutzaktivisten,

wir sind eine Gruppe von schweizer Aktivisten, die gegen Tierversuche 
kämpfen und wir bitten euch um eure Hilfe für eine Kampagne, die 
einige italienische Aktivisten in Italien vorangeführt haben. Um 
jetzt zum Schluss zu kommen, muss diese Kampagne jetzt unserer 
Meinung nach international werden.

Wir sind davon überzeugt, dass wirlich wenig dazu ausreicht, RBM zum 
Zusammenbruch zu bringen. RBM ist ein Tierversuchslabor in Italien, 
das seit über 30 Jahren Tausende von Tieren viviseziert: Ratten, 
Hamster, Hunde, Mäuse, Affen, Kaninchen...! Dazu reicht wenig, weil 
ihre einzige Unterstützung der Konzern Serono ist, der seinen 
Hauptsitz in der Schweiz und Sitze auf der ganzen Welt hat: wenn vor 
einigen Jahren nicht Serono als Hauptaktionär eingegriffen hätte, 
hätte RBM Konkurs melden müssen!

Und Serono hat keine große Lust Proteste durchzustehen, die sich in 
den letzten 2 Jahren auf RBM beschränkten. Direkt bei ihnen, indem 
wir sie treffen, können wir sie davon überzeugen RBM fallen zu 
lassen! 

Worum wir euch bitten? Dass ihr an der AKTIONSWOCHE GEGEN SERONO (im 
SHAC-Stil) vom 31. Mai bis zum 5. Juni teilnehmt. Mit Protesten per E-
mail, Fax und vor allem ANRUFEN an ihre Filialen in eurem Land, und 
besser noch, mit Demonstrationen vor den Filialen, wenn ihr welche in 
eurer Stadt habt.

Chers activistes animalistes,

nous sommes un groupe d'activistes suisses qui luttent contre la 
vivisection, et nous demandons votre aide pour une campagne qui a été 
menée jusqu'à présent en Italie, par un groupe d'activistes italiens. 
Mais maintenant cette campagne doit devenir internationale pour 
pouvoir se terminer.

Nous sommes convaincus qu'il faut vraiment très peu pour faire 
écrouler RBM, un laboratoire de vivisection qui se trouve en Italie 
et qui depuis 30 ans vivisectionne chaque année des milliers 
d'animaux: rats, hamsters, chiens, souris, gerbilles, singes, 
lapins...!

Il faut très peu car le seul soutien de RBM reste la multinationale 
Serono, qui a son siège principal ici en Suisse, mais qui a partout 
dans le monde ses siège: si Serono n'avais pas apporté son soutien il 
y a quelques années en tant qu' actionnaire de majorité, RBM aurait 
fait faillite! 

Et Serono n'a pas très envie de garder pour soi les protestations qui 
ont vu RBM comme cible principale, dans les deux dernières années. 
Qu'est-ce que nous demandons? De participer à UNE SEMAINE D'ACTIONS 
CONTRE SERONO (dans le style de SHAC), du 31 mai au 5 juin: 
protestations via e-mail, par fax, et surtout IL FAUT TELEPHONER aux 
sièges de votre pays, et mieux encore, des manifestations devant tous 
les sièges Serono si vous en avez un dans votre ville!
