AR-News: (US) LA-SPCA unleashes racy ad campaign

The Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is not a
government-financed animal prison, LA-SPCA officials said Monday,
launching an edgy ad campaign that includes a "Sam Spayed" radio piece and
an award-winning "unleash your heart" logo in hopes of clearing up
misconceptions about the shelter.
Print ads show three dogs and two cats in mock police lineups, wearing
placards hanging from chains with statements such as: "The only thing I'm
charged with is energy," and "I'm no prison b . . ."
The ads, geared for various audiences, are meant to raise eyebrows,
campaign chairwoman Ellen Kempner said at a press conference at the
dog-friendly Bridge Lounge on Magazine Street, where animal photos grace
the walls .
