AR-News: (US-al) Man to serve 18 months in dog slaying, first Gucci law sentence

MOBILE, Ala. - A Mobile County man convicted of cutting the throat of his
girlfriend's dog has become the first person sentenced to prison under
Alabama's so-called Gucci law.

Kevin Scott Beritiech, 41, of Irvington was sentenced Thursday to 18
months in prison.
