Local Dogs To Help Our Kids, Or Die: It Depends On You
Randy Warner has devoted his life and all he has in this world to educational programs for young people. He teaches kids how to make decisions that will prevent pet abuse, neglect, and pets ending up in dog pounds to suffer and die. These programs teach the students to adopt a less conflict resolution technique. They have better achievement scores and improved attendance rates, all of which lead to a more compassionate and understanding society. Please see www.21stcenturycares.org/westerntour.htm.
The abuse, neglect, and suffering of dogs and other pets is a national tragedy of which many are not aware. His work is a much needed and valiant attempt to fill that gap. Randy Warner has been involved in Dog Rescue for 20 years, and has been teaching a group of 71 people around the country to be humane educaters. He has a coalition of 56 participating member groups around the nation, travels around the nation in this endeavor, and also provides humane education to schools.
Randy has been in PEOPLE MAGAZINE, LA TIMES, USA TODAY, HARD COPY, LEEZA, CBS NEWS, and on THE LETTERMAN SHOW with 51 Dalmations. He is the subject of a short documentary, TROUBLESPOTS, by George Lucas which can be seen on www.21stcenturycares.org/troublespots.htm
But now Randy needs our help, YOUR help. He has used all of his resources and all that has been contributed in this humane endeaver which so greatly benefits society today, all of us! Two used vans were contributed to Randy, both of which he has worn out in this work. He has lived without the necessities of life in order to continue this vital work.
He is living 37 miles South of Hoover Dam on Highway 93 in a condemned trailer with no plumbing, no water, and no vehicle to get and bring water to his home for himself and for the dogs, because his last van "died", for lack of a better term. As you know, the temperatures are brutal and water is vital for cooling, and for the basic needs of life.
Randy needs a VAN, just a used one that will run, so he can continue his education tour and work with the Las Vegas School Districts. MOST IMPORTANTLY HE NEEDS TRANSPORTATION TNOW NOW TO GET WATER FOR HIS DOGS AND HIMSELF.
Donations can be made through the web site www.21centurycares.org by PayPal, or by mail.
Randy's telephone number is (928)767-4895; his address is PO BOX 373, Dolan Springs, AZ, 86441. His email address is 21stcares at citlink.net.
