HUNTER GETS ETHICS

Fergus Falls, Minn. - Donald "Babe" Winkelman, and outdoors columnist and a
host of TV shows on hunting and fishing, faces a $200 fine after being
charges with illegally using walkie-talkies during a deer hunt. Using radio
equipment to hunt game goes against the "fair chase ethic."

Winkelman, 55, conceded last month that there is enough evidence to convict
him, and struck a plea bargain under which he would pay the fine and write
a newspaper column on hunting ethics. Prosecutors expect the judge to
accept the pleas.
