AR-News: PETA threatens Aussie wool boycott

[Animalconcerns]

THE world's largest animal rights organisation today condemned the deaths
of 2000 sheep in Victoria, describing the Australian wool industry as
"cruel" and renewing the threat of a global boycott of Australian wool
products.

"People throughout the world aren't just going to stand by while they
continue to abuse sheep in the hideous ways," Matt Prescott, an official
at the US headquarters of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals
(PETA), said.
