AR-News: (US-tx) At least 40 men arrested in rooster fight ring

HARLINGEN — A Crime Stoppers tip alerted authorities to the presence of a
cockfighting ring at a home near FM 508 and Gonzalez Road Saturday afternoon.

With the assistance of Rio Hondo and Combes police, Cameron County
Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested the owner of the home and at least
40 spectators to the fight.

"We believe this activity has been going on for a while," said Lt. Manuel
Treviño.

"They had bleachers and rooster pens."
